The Funeral Resource Center

The Funeral Resource Center aims to empower families with informed funeral planning.

The funeral industry can be difficult to navigate, and the fact that you need to plan a complex legal, financial, and logistical event while going through grief yourself can make it even more difficult.

We are here to provide a helping hand through this stressful time by empowering you with the resources you need to get through the process. We cover services in the DC area, but the resources can be helpful for you no matter where in the US you live or what tradition you follow. If you have a helpful resource that we should include, please send us an email.

If you would like a helpful planner to walk you through the process in person or over the phone, head over to our contact section and send us an email or give us a call!

In the end, people don’t view their life as merely the average of all its moments—which, after all, is mostly nothing much plus some sleep. For human beings, life is meaningful because it is a story. A story has a sense of a whole, and its arc is determined by the significant moments, the ones where something happens. Measurements of people’s minute-by-minute levels of pleasure and pain miss this fundamental aspect of human existence. A seemingly happy life maybe empty. A seemingly difficult life may be devoted to a great cause. We have purposes larger than ourselves.
